Arblaster & Clarke Wine tours

Arblaster & Clarke offer a wine tours world-wide, with a wide choice of styles of wine holiday. These include our famous Champagne Weekends, good value "Tours by Coach", "Classic Range" and "Reserve Collection" Wine Tours, Wine Walks, Wine Cruises and Cookery Schools.

The prices of the various kinds of tours vary considerably - the value, however, does not. Wine visits, comprehensive tastings, meals with interesting good quality wine, well chosen accommodation, travel from the UK, and pre-payable departure taxes are all included. (The tours are available without flights too). Clients have consistently rated some of our most expensive tours (such as the "Reserve Collection" with very special things included), as being “very good value”.

The Programme in 2001

New this year are: The Italian Islands Wine Cruise, The Tuscan Wine Academy, Champagne visiting the Aube, Guests at Château Meyre andthe Chianti Classico Walk. Returning after a rest are: Rhone and Provence, Bruges for Belgian Beers and Walking in the Loire.

Arblaster & Clarke are quite often ahead of fashion: Grower Champagnes, Greece, Argentina and Portuguese Quinta wines are past examples. We also hold true to areas like Beaujolais and the Mosel which are often overlooked but are great to visit.

You’ll have superb tastings at famous châteaux and discover small unknown producers, some of which are closed to the public. (Not all are mentioned here as some prefer us to keep the fact that they receive visits confidential). We have established a good rapport with the cellars and you’ll meet top wine-makers, owners of great châteaux and be invited into vignerons’ homes. Tastings may show several vintages, grape types and soils, barrel samples and wines from the proprietor’s reserve.

At many visits you can buy wine, sometimes rarities not seen at home, and at good prices. The wine visits don’t take up all the time of course, itineraries are well balanced with free time and visits to places of interest included. At many of the visits you can buy wine, sometimes rarities not often seen at home and at very good prices. We’ll tell you how to find the wines back in the UK too.

Food to complement the wine

Arblaster & Clarke often have lunches, dinners and informal picnics as guests of the estates, the kind of thing that is not possible if you are travelling alone. For non-included meals you may make your own choice, perhaps using our suggestions or you are always welcome to join our team who know the local restaurants and regional cuisine and can guide you through the wine list.
